Dental Implants

Protomatic has worked with development teams with for dental research applications. The titanium (6AL4V ELI) implant would be installed in reconstructive surgery in effort to replace a missing tooth. The oral surgeon would slot the mandible to install the flat plate like structure. The implant would fuse bone tissue for optimum strength. The protruding post would provide a strong post for an temporary or permanent artificial tooth mount. This project dates us a little, developed in the mid 80's, yes some 30 years ago. This product image shows an incomplete machining stage implant. Since then this product has been improved upon many times since its origin. This basic research created a wealth of understanding and utilized future development products.
